Day 10 - (08/19) Moab, UT

The drive to Moab, UT was both short and long … short (only 117 miles), but long because the trip was slow.

We took Utah scenic route 128 south from I-70W at Cisco. The road was winding, narrow and followed the Colorado River.

We’re camped in the middle of nowhere at Portal RV Resort in Moab. It’s very nice. We’ll stay here a few days so we can tour the sights. The high for the next few days is forecast for 104°. Nights get down to the low 60s.

We drove to Dead Horse Point State Park. It’s called Utah’s Grand Canyon. Towering 2,000 ft above the Colorado, the park provides some of the best views of the canyon country of southeastern Utah and Canyonlands National Park.

We then went to Arches National Park late in day. First impression … how in the world did the formations get like that? We got back to the park at 9pm. We’ll go back late in the day tomorrow.
