Day 3 - (08/12) Oacoma, SD

We travelled 399 miles today across MN and into SD on I-90W ... lots of corn fields and miles of wind farms.

We're at the Cedar Shore Campground on the western side of the Missouri River. A lightning storm has moved in from the west and it's starting to rain and the wind is picking up.

Whew! This has been some storm. Heavy rain, wind, lightning and thunder take on a whole new meaning when you're inside the equivalent of a "tin can". Tent campers just downstream of us had to take cover in a nearby resort building. There were news reports of hail. We'll find out when we inspect for damage in the morning.

Hopefully, we become tourists tomorrow when we go to Wall Drugs and then into The Badlands.
