Day 12 - (08/21) Mancos, CO

Did you ever end up where you weren’t headed? We did today.

We left Moab with the intention of following the Bicentennial Highway from Blanding to Hanksville on UT Route 95. We changed our plan on a whim after seeing Four Corners on a sign. We simply stayed on US 191 south of Blanding and ended up at Mesa Verde National Park in CO.

Note: Carol pulled the trailer for the 1st time today. Our route change wasn’t her fault.

We drove through the Navajo Indian Reservation in UT and AZ past the towns of Mexican Water, Red Mesa and Teec Nos Pos. We stopped at Four Corners Monument because we didn’t know where we were going or what state we should be in.
The A&A Mesa Verde RV Park is across US 160 from the Mesa Verde park entrance. Mancos is between Cortez and Durango. We’ll tour the park tomorrow and probably stay through Sunday.
